to the
MatCHMaker Final Exploitation Workshop
“Unlocking the Future of Data-Driven Collaboration: Shaping the Horizon of Open Science and Industry Innovation”
29 May 2026 | Paris | hybrid | hosted by CEA
Organised by MatCHMaker consortium in cooperation with the European Materials Modelling Council (EMMC).
Information
This high-level European event will convene industry leaders, modelling and characterisation experts, research infrastructures, and EU policy stakeholders to discuss how digital tools, semantic frameworks, and open repositories can accelerate innovation across the European materials ecosystem.
What to expect?
- Key results from MatCHMaker and sister projects in materials modelling and characterisation, e.g. Open Repository and AI-enabled tools
- Strategic discussions on interoperability, ontologies, and open data governance
- Presentation and discussion of the White Paper on Data Lifecycles in Materials Modelling and Characterisation
- The role of the Materials Commons as a sustainable exploitation pathway for national and international initiatives
- Contributions from EU policy representatives, including project officers and stakeholders shaping Europe’s digital research landscape
- Targeted networking across industry, research, infrastructure, and policy communities
Aligned with EMMC’s mission to strengthen Europe’s digital materials ecosystem, the workshop focuses on transforming project results into sustainable, scalable impact — bridging modelling, characterisation, standards, infrastructure, and European policy.
Who should attend?
Industry innovators, digital transformation teams, researchers, infrastructure providers, EU project coordinators, and policy stakeholders active in materials modelling, characterisation, AI, interoperability, and open science.
