About involving all stakeholders to support Research and Innovation Policy dialogues ...

The EMMC aims to strengthen the integration of diverse materials modelling communities, fostering communication, networking, and raising awareness of materials modelling and digitalisation within industry.

EMMC International Workshop

Every two years, EMMC organises the EMMC international Workshop, which brings together stakeholders from across Europe and beyond. These include modellers, software developers, data scientists, professionals from the materials industry, academic and industrial researchers, and policymakers. The workshop serves as a key platform for discussion and collaboration, bridging industries and disciplines.

The EMMC International Workshop is a premier event where industry and academic stakeholders from various fields related to materials and digital sciences gather to address strategic issues, identify gaps, and explore actions to propel the field forward.

Community-Building Events

To facilitate community-building, EMMC organises both in-person and online events, including workshops, webinars, and forums. The organisation also hosts brokerage events, connecting stakeholders and exploring public and private funding opportunities across European and national programs. This fosters collaboration, enhances mutual understanding, and helps address the needs of the community.

EMMC Roadmaps

The EMMC Roadmap highlights the crucial role of advancing materials modelling and digitalisation to boost the competitiveness of European industry. It identifies current challenges and barriers, providing actionable solutions based on extensive input from diverse stakeholder communities. This roadmap informs Research and Innovation Policy dialogues.

While acknowledging the substantial progress made in recent years, the roadmap also identifies existing gaps and provides a clear direction for achieving the vision of an agile European materials industry. The overarching goal is to cultivate intelligent enterprises that fully leverage and integrate the power of digital materials science.

This strategic document is essential for stakeholders across the materials modelling ecosystem, including modellers, materials data scientists, software developers, translators, and manufacturers. It seeks to foster more efficient and effective innovation in the chemicals and materials sectors, facilitating the development of new products.

EMMC members play a key role in contributing to strategic policy documents, such as roadmaps, which help shape the future direction of materials modelling and digitalisation.
