European Materials Characterisation Council
The European Materials Characterisation Council (EMCC) is a European initiative set up at the beginning of 2016, based on and strengthening the existing European Materials Characterisation Cluster (created at the end of 2014).
- The EMCC is a bottom-up activity based on the involvement and support of a wide range of stakeholders.
- Coordination between European, national, regional initiatives and Member State support and contribution will be essential to reach full impact of the EMCC.

IAM-I
An open, Inclusive and interdisciplinary association gathering all interested stakeholders communities
The ambition of IAM-I, an international non-profit Association, is to establish and maintain a cross-sectorial, multidisciplinary, collaborative Europe-wide Research and Innovation ecosystem that will significantly accelerate the time-to-market of sustainable innovative advanced materials (IAMs) and associated technologies designed for a digital circular economy.
IAM-I will integrate all strands of stakeholders, from upstream developers, downstream users, citizens along industrial value chains enabled by IAMs. IAM-I will provide a common and shared framework covering all materials value chains, and needs and challenges along their lifecycles.

EUMAT
EuMaT – European Technology Platform for Advanced Engineering Materials and Technologies has been launched in order to assure optimal involvement of industry and other important stakeholders in the process of establishing of R&D priorities in the area of advanced engineering materials and technologies.
EuMaT should improve coherence in existing and forthcoming EU projects, in the field of materials R&D.

EIT Critical Raw Materials: the new European Raw Materials Academy (ERMAcademy)
Will help at least 100,000 workers across Europe with the skills they need to master the green and digital transitions
The curriculum spans the full raw materials value chain, including mining, recycling, advanced materials, and the circular economy
