Mission

In the last decades improvement in predictive modeling, the increased computational power and lately the introduction of generative AI based tools required and require material engineers/scientist/designers to enter into the AI world and learn its fundamentals to remain competitive in the international scenario.

While the industrial implementation of AI remain slow and, for the moment, positioned in the medium-long term, in the academic world and above all in R&D the possibilities and creativity are infinite and revolutionary.

As a leading institution in Europe in modeling, EMMC can lead the way stimulating education, synergies with the European Commission and with industry through the activity of the Task Group, whose main mission will be to be a lighthouse in the field of AI applied to material design and a hub for new concepts and initiatives in the field.
