Irish College Leuven

The 6th EMMC International Workshop 2027 will be hosted at the historic Irish College Leuven, located in the heart of the city.

Originally founded in the early seventeenth century, the Irish College has been carefully restored into a modern conference venue while preserving its unique historical character and architectural heritage.

The venue offers modern meeting rooms, lecture facilities and welcoming social spaces surrounded by peaceful courtyards and historic gardens. Its central location allows participants to reach hotels, restaurants and Leuven’s main attractions within only a few minutes on foot.

The combination of historic surroundings and modern conference infrastructure provides an inspiring environment for scientific discussions, networking and collaboration.

Workshop Environment

Throughout the three-day workshop, participants will have the opportunity to attend keynote presentations, panel discussions, poster sessions, networking breaks and social activities.

The venue has been selected to encourage interaction between researchers, industrial innovators, software developers, policy experts and the wider materials modelling community.

Coffee breaks and informal networking sessions will take place within the venue, providing numerous opportunities to establish new collaborations and exchange ideas.
