The forthcoming CEN workshop will focus on the revision of CWA 17815:2021, titled “Materials characterisation - Terminology, metadata and classification,” based on insights from the European project NanoMECommons.
The NanoMECommons project, funded by Horizon 2020 (GA 952869), is building a network of researchers and innovators to tackle the challenge of characterizing nanomaterials across various industries. The proposed CEN workshop aims to establish a common language (definitions and vocabulary) for materials characterisation and modelling.
The workshop targets professionals in research and development across various industries, particularly those involved in material characterisation and modelling. Public authorities involved in policy development related to advanced manufacturing and nanotechnology are also encouraged to participate, ensuring the standardisation aligns with current and future technological advancements.
The kick-off meeting will be held on the 24th of May 2024 online. People interested to participate in the kick-off meeting can register through an online form.
