DescriptionVirtual Materials Marketplace (VIMMP) aims at being an open marketplace where external services from different providers can be traded. Hence, it is crucial that interfacing external services to VIMMP APIs needs to be an easy step to attract the external providers. OSTHUS has been developing a product called ZONTAL Space (Developed at OSTHUS, http://ZONTAL.io), an archiving system that uses the Allotrope Data Format (ADF). ZONTAL Space acts as an Information Lifecycle System or Information Broker within VIMMP and cover the following topics:
- Data storage: Storage of arbitrary data and metadata in ADF files.
- Search Capabilities: The metadata is used to provide a search via a simple UI or API.
- Manual ingest: information can be uploaded manually and metadata can be added manually
- Ingest: Data and metadata can be inserted via an API.
- Connectivity: How to connect to VIMMP as an external service provider
