CECAM Workshop "Interfacial Properties: Open Questions" | JAN 28-30, 2025 | STFC Daresbury Laboratory (UK)

The IPOQ 2025 workshop (28th - 30th January 2025* )aims to advance on a series of closely interconnected open problems in molecular modelling and simulation of vapour-liquid and liquid-liquid interfaces:

• Thermodynamic properties: Systematization and ontologization
• Methods for curved interfaces, finite-size effects, and nucleation
• Simultaneous molecular model accuracy for both interfacial and bulk properties
• Surface tension, virial, and pressure tensor in simulations with rigid multi-site models
• Multiscale and mesoscopic modelling of interfaces: How consistent can it become?
• Interfacial micromechanics: Localized quantities, intrinsic interfaces, and capillary waves

A small contribution to expenses (GBP 60) is requested from participants; other than that, the workshop is free.
