Bio

Misbah Sarwar is currently Senior Principal Scientist at Johnson Matthey (JM).

She completed her first degree at UCL and then moved to the Royal Institution (RI) to study for a PhD.

Since joining JM Misbah has been using molecular simulation to gain a fundamental understanding of how JM catalysts work in a broad range of applications from use in Fuel Cells, to Emissions Control Catalysts for use in Gasoline and Diesel vehicles.

Abstract

Computational Chemistry: An Industrial Perspective

The talk will give an overview of how multi-scale modelling combined with advanced characterization techniques are being used in industry to understand the structure and activity of catalytic materials in industry.
