Description:

The teams from STFC and SINTEF present their work on ontology-based data management and interoperability in the context of the VIMMP and MarketPlace projects that have been collaborating since 2018 on digital marketplaces for services in materials modelling.

Topics for discussion include semantic heterogeneity and ontology alignment, in particular between domain ontologies and the European Materials and Modelling Ontology (EMMO),
and perspectives for enhancing community involvement and interoperability support by the EMMC and the related Horizon 2020 projects, including OntoCommons and DOME 4.0 which are now starting.
