The Workshop and the related CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA) will provide standardised terminology to improve exchange among experts in the entire area of materials characterisation, facilitate the exchange with industrial end-users and experimentalists and reduce the barrier to utilising advanced materials characterisation. It is an important stepping stone towards achieving a digital representation of materials and is closely related to the previous CWA 17284 on “Materials modelling - terminology, classification and metadata”.
